The Necrology committee is one of the standing committees, the president appoints the committee and chairperson.  The chairperson serves at the discretion of the president.  The current chairperson is Lavern Burwell Grant.

The Awards Committee is appointed by the president and serves as the discretion of the president.  The Awards committee accepts nominations for four awards  (1) Humanitarian (2) Hall of Fame (3) Community Leader (4) Service.  Nomination forms are available from the chairperson.   The Chairperson of this committee is Ola Cooper-Thrope.

The National Scholarship Committee was established two years after Robert Bogan made an appeal for a scholarship fund program.  Robert Bogan was appointed chairperson of the committee on August 30, 1997.

The Membership Committee is appointed by the president and serves at the discretion of the president.  The committee chairperson presides over the meetings and is responsible for the maintaning information concerning members and increasing the membership.  The current chairperson Vera D. Hodge.
