Two Service Awards were presented. Robert Bogan received the Association’s Service Award for establishing the Scholarship Committee and the Alfred HBCU Festival. He shared that he had not planned to go to college. However, a representative from A and T was at HI, and Bogan was encouraged by a counselor to speak with him. A scholarship resulted that changed the course of his life.
A second Service Award was presented to Ruth Helen Wilson for her dedication and technical expertise.
